US Open champion Novak Djokovic and fellow competitor Juan Martin del Potro stated that they felt sorry for how Serena Williams was treated during the US Open Women’s singles final match. He stated that the chair umpire Carlos Ramos has pushed Serena Williams off the edge during the course of the match and hoped that it should’ve never happened. He stated that it was the tough and awkward situation and provided empathy to the chair umpire and said that there is only someone can do. Del Potro stated that the Women’s Tennis players deserve to be treated the same as their male counterparts and said that it was a final that nobody expected and wanted. He spoke about the fact that the women’s tennis players must be paid the same as their male counterparts as they also put in months of practice in it and there is a lot of effort put in to stay fit.
