Serbian Tennis star Novak Djokovic won his 14th US Open title on Sunday with a 6-3,7-6(7/4).6-3 win over Juan Martina del Porto. Novak Djokovic has now equated with Pete Sampras’s 14 Grand Slams title. Now he is three Grand Slams behind Rafael Nadal and sic from the record 20 held by Roger Federer. The Serbian was playing in his 8th final of U.S Open and has previously won the tournament in the year 2011 and 2015. This win can be seen as the comeback of Novak Djokovic from his elbow injury of last year. Early this year, he has also won Wimbledon and hence completed the Wimbledon-US Open Double. The world no. 3 Del Petro has previously won the championship 9 years back in 2009 and was playing in his second Slam Final. With this win of Djokovic, the ‘Big Four’ of Tennis has maintained their dominance over the Majors by winning the previous 50 Major Slams out of 55 Slams. The Big Four consists of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Andy Murray.
