  • At around 10:20 am, the whole of the northeast region of India was jolted by an Earthquake of 5.5 on the Richter Scale.
  • The epicenter of the Earthquake was at a depth of 10 km in the Sapatgram in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
  • 12 September was a day of the earthquake in India as another earthquake was recorded in the Northern Part.

At around 10:20 am, the whole of the northeast region of India was jolted by an Earthquake of 5.5 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter of the Earthquake was at a depth of 10 km in the Sapatgram in Kokrajhar district of Assam.

12 September was a day of the earthquake in India as another earthquake was recorded in the Northern Part. The earthquake measured 4.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the Earthquake was at a depth of 174 km in the Ladakh Region. The earthquake was recorded at 5:15 in the morning.

Both the Earthquakes spread panic in the region but as per the Indian Meteorological Department reported that there was no report of any casualty or any major damage done by the Earthquake.
