The Income Tax sleuths have continued searches on the consecutive third day also at the residences and offices of Telangana Congress Working President, A. Revanth Reddy. The income tax department has in the process seized some key incriminating documents. The houses of the close relatives of revanth reddy have also been searched. It has been reported from the officials that searches will be carried on for some days and further Notices will also be issued to the people concerned if there any discrepancy found with regard to income and taxes paid.

The officials informed that some important and crucial documents have been seized from Reddy and his relatives. These documents will be scrutinized and correlated with the others documents. And the future course of action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing scrutiny. On the arrest of the Telangana Congress working president, the officials of the Income-tax department said that this has not been still considered, ruling out any possibility of future arrest. The income tax has also swooped down on the residence of Sebastian Harry. Searches have been conducted on a dozen houses and residences of Mr. Reddy and his relatives across the state.

The Income Tax Officials are investigating the alleged charges of money laundering on A. Revanth Reddy and Sebastian Harry via shell companies. On May 31, 2015, A. Revanth Reddy, then in the Telugu Desam Party, was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while allegedly paying a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to Elvis Stephenson, a nominated MLA, for supporting Telugu Desham Party nominee Vem Narendra Reddy in Legislative Council elections held on June 1, 2015
