On 6th November, 2018 in an event of this auspicious occasion of Diwali the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath gave a speech. In his speech, he announced that the Faizabada District in Uttar Pradesh will be renamed to Ayodhya. Ramayana is one of the most ancient scriptures of Hindus. According to mythology in Ramayana, Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Rama who was the 7th Avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is believed by most of the Hindus.Recently, the CM of Uttar Pradesh renamed Allahabad as Prayagraj officially. Yogi Adityanath is also the high priest or Mahant at a Hindu Temple in Gorakhpur named Gorakhnath Math. He also announced a medical college in the name of Lord Rama’s father, King Dasharath and also an airport to be called ‘Raja Ram’. With great pride, Yogi said that Ayodhya is the symbol of their ‘Aan, Baan, Shaan’ (honour, pride and prestige). He also claimed that no other Chief Minister has ever visited Ayodhya so frequently as him. He also assured the citizens that no injustice will be committed to Ayodhya as he cares.
