Apprehended by the probable show of black flags in the Medininagar rally of Prime Minister Modi, Palamu district administration of Jharkahnd has banned the entry of all the black materials including black dresses. Anybody coming to the meeting with any black material will not be allowed to enter the public meeting venue, Palamu Superintendent of Police Inderjit Mahata said Tuesday. The public meeting is scheduled for Saturday.
This order was issued in wake of para-teachers’ collective agitation across the state for three months now in order to get their services regularized. This ban will be for everyone- officers as well as audience, said Mohata. Palamu district administration has also asked their counterparts in the districts of Chatra, Latehar and Garhwa for their support by preventing the people from coming to PM’s rally with the black material. Official sources said that there was an apprehension of a show of black flags at the meeting.
Prime Minister will also kick off the revival of the long pending North Koel Irrigation project, locally known as Mandal Dam, besides launching a new water pipeline project for parched Palamu and Garhwa districts online from the Chiyanki airstrip at Daltonganj in Palamu district. While the irrigation project will cost Rs 1,622.27, the water pipeline project will cost Rs 1,136 crore. The PM will spend an hour at Daltonganj during his visit to Jharkhand.
