Facebook is going to launch its clear history feature, enabling its 2.32 billion monthly users to clear their digital history, in 2019. In 2018, Facebook landed on legal problems after its alleged user information breaches and revelations about its questionable business practices, with lawmakers around the world demanding answers from Facebook on how it was going to correct it. Facebook CEO first announced the plans for a clear history tool in May 2018. On 27th February, Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer said, “We’re running the company in fundamentally a very different way with a major focus on stopping abuses of its platform. As we were building the business, we didn’t put enough resources and enough investment into preventing harm. As we were growing then business, we were very focused on all the good it can do, and all the good it still does every single day. And I think we didn’t foresee some of the ways the platform could be abused, and that’s on us.”
