Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary ended India’s campaign at the International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup 2019 that concluded at the Karni Singh Range, Tughlabad on February 27, 2019 on a high note with a mixed air pistol gold in the shooting world cup, third for the hosts, as they finished top in the 10m air pistol mixed team final with 483.4 points on the final day of the tournament. Manu and Saurabh had earlier equalled Qualification World Record and also set a new Qualification World Record Junior by shooting 778 points. The Indian team logged 483.4 points to beat Chinese Jiang Ranxin and Zhang Bowen comprehensively by 5.7 points. The other Indian pair of Heena Sidhu and Abhishek Verma failed to qualify for the final, shooting a total of 770 points. It was the second gold for the 17-year-old Saurabh, the Asian Games champion, after the individual gold in air pistol earlier. For Manu, it was a fighting performance, releasing the best shots, and cancelling her aim and starting afresh whenever required, despite the possibility of getting into time pressure. “There is a lot left to achieve. This is just the beginning. I am always confident. It is good when people come to cheer for us,” said Saurabh after the win.
