Sangeetha began her trip from Mumbai on 12th August and has been travelling solo since then, visiting over 290 cities. The purpose of the trip across the country is to create awareness about the Swach Bharat Mission. She explains that all the information which she collects are documented on an app in her phone. She owns her own website www.cleanIndiatrial.com, where she details about her travels. The result of her audit will be handed over to United Nations Sustainable Development Board and Ministry of Tourism. MS. Sangeetha told the reason behind this trip, “I wished to commemorate the 160th birth anniversary of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of United Arab Emirates and 150 th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhiji always dreamt of a clean and safe India for women and I planned this trip to show that this does not have to be a far away dream she says.
