Stimulating up its poll campaign, the Congress party on 07th April,2019 launched its slogan for Lok Sabha polls, ‘Ab Hoga Nyay’. The theme song has been penned by Javed Akhtar and the campaign video has been filmed by Nikkhil Advani. "The song highlights the party's proposed minimum income guarantee NYAY scheme," according to Congress sources.

But Ahead of the launch of Congress' campaign song for the Lok Sabha elections on Sunday, the party had to remove a couple of stanzas after the Election Commission of India (ECI) reportedly objected to the lines that explicitly referred to alleged "disturbed communal harmony" and asked Congress to evaluate the same. As of now that the needed modifications have been made and each the tune and the slogan have been ready for the launch. The congress sources, however, said that the Commission objected to a few lines after which the party had to replace them. These lines had accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre of spreading hatred and pitching communities against each other.

Adding a musical colour to its poll slogan, the party asserted that there was an atmosphere of ‘anyay’ or injustice prevailing in the country, which must be reversed. Announcing that the Congress campaign will be centered around ‘Nyay’, senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said the word not only alludes to the party’s proposed minimum income guarantee scheme but encompasses justice to all sections of the society. The marketing campaign tune additionally mentions the job scenario, demonetisation, girls’s safety, GST and farmers’ suicide, amongst different points. The slogan is – Ab hoga NYAY. Congress in its manifesto has promised to offer Rs 72,000 per yr to the 20 % of India’s poorest underneath its NYAY scheme.
