HIGHLIGHTS

  • Himalayan has nearly 35% more power and 46% more torque than Hero X Pulse 200
  • Hero X Pulse, on the other hand, is more preferable for people who wish to ride both on road and off road
  • X Pulse offers 36-40kmpl mileage while the Himalayan offers 26-28kmpl mileage

This summer comes with the introduction of two new lightweight off-road bikes- Hero X Pulse 200 and Royal Enfield Himalayan and the other one being Hero X Pulse 200. Till the time it was a segment dominated by the Enfield Himalayan, but the introduction of Hero Impulse has given the bike lovers another comparable option in the form of X Pulse. Starting with the look and style, Hero X Pulse will be more appealing to the youth. Sleek cut LED headlamps and Bluetooth connectivity makes it preferable to the people who like to be connected on the go. On the other hand, Himalayan comes with a bare body design and doesn’t have all the modern sleek designs. If we compare the engine capacity of both the bikes, Enfield has a 411cc engine while the X Pulse comes with 199.6 cc engine. This gives the Himalayan an upper hand in the engine section. But the Himalayan has a bit heavy clutch which makes it hard to handle in the city traffic. X pulse, when talked about mileage beats Himalayan by a margin, offering 36-40kmpl while the Himalayan offers 26-28kmpl. Talking about the price range the Himalayan comes at a price of Rs 1.67 lakhs whereas the X Pulse is to be priced at Rs 97,000. In comparison, it is quite difficult to give any one of them an upper hand. The X Pulse may be more appealing to the youth and the customers who prefer style and a bit lightweight two-wheeler. Royal Enfield Himalayan, on the other hand, may be preferred by the customers who love to drive a heavier bike with a bit more powerful engine.
