HIGHLIGHTS

  • World Champion Marquez drew level with Rossi
  • The record at which they drew was 55GP Poles
  • Marquez qualified for the French GP clocking the quickest

The tyre choice was a tough decision to make as the race was staged in changeable conditions. Marquez after a successful match with Rossi’s pole record ultimately crashed falling off his Honda. However, the player from Spain quickly got back on board to continue the GP. He was accompanied in the fifth leg by Danilo and Jack Miller both of whom ride Ducati. The record matcher expressed concern over the unpredictable conditions stating that it was a difficult choice to make to choose either wet tyres or dry tyres on a surface like this which has almost nothing to offer. Marc now has a single point advantage against Alex Rins who also rides Suzuki. Alex trailed only in the 19th LAP. The fans from France are hopeful to see their star performer Fabio do exactly what he has done over the years and give the fans another reason to cheer for him this season.

Fabio rides Yamaha and will start off from the 10th position in this season. Keeping the unpredictable climate conditions the riders will be keeping a keen eye on the weather at the time of the race in order to determine their chances of finishing at the best possible position.
