  • The Suzuki Gixxer 250 Sf was launched on Monday in India

Suzuki is all set to once again enter the Indian two-wheeler market. The Suzuki Gixxer 250 Sf was launched on Monday in India. This launch can also be considered as Suzuki’s second chance to enter into the quarter-liter section. The previous attempt made by Suzuki was in the form of Suzuki Inazuma, which although was well featured but was not successful due to excessive pricing. The Suzuki SF 250 will be powered by a 250cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine which puts out 26 bhp of maximum power at 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm. The powerful engine is paired with 6- speed gearbox. The design of the new Gixxer has a sharply-designed fairing with the engine casing exposed and gets a LED headlight, clip-on handlebars, split seats and multi-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels shod with fat rubber. The instrument panel is a full LCD unit with a dual-exit exhaust system. This new bike from Suzuki will face tough competitions from the other bikes in this segment such as the Honda CBR250R, Yamaha Fazer 25, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and even KTM Duke RC 200. Suzuki is also planning on launching naked iteration of Gixxer SF 250 which may just be named as Gixxer 250 and is planned to be launched in the next 4 months.
