  • This would be the second world cup of Rohit Sharma while he still awaits for his maiden victory
  • After the triumph in the IPL, Rohit now awaits a world cup win
  • Different things work for different people, says Rohit

Winning the world cup has always been the ultimate dream of every cricketer and Rohit Sharma is no different. Rohit Sharma has always wished to lay his hands on the World Cup but still have not been able to do so. After his triumph in the IPL, Rohit now looks for a world cup win. Heading into his second world cup Rohit said that being desperate for a win is not going to work as desperation has never been helpful for him. He said he needed to be calm and keep his head in place as that is what has helped him through his career whenever he faced hard times. “Different things work for different people. For some, the desperation to hit the nets when you're out of touch, to seek out people, perspectives - those kinds of things work. For me, it doesn't work. It's taken me time to understand what is it that it takes for me to get going” said Rohit Sharma. He further added that desperation has many times caused his mind to wander away from the path and that has led to negative results. Rohit started his career as an opener batsman in the Champions Trophy at England and then there he will be again for the world cup commencing from 30th May at England and Wales.
