The researchers of The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Arizona have recently found remaining of Ancient polar ice sheets that could be one of the largest water reservoirs on the planet. The discoveries were made using the measurements of the Shallow radar on NASA’s MRO. These founded ice sheets are very important because this might form a record of past climate which will be used by the scientist to make sure whether and when the living conditions be formed on the planet.  The newly found ice sheets are 1.5 meters deep which was above the expectations of the researcher. Hence, this would be the third largest water reservoir on mars after polar caps. Although the measurements were already there, the researcher also used Gravity Data to confirm the research. It is also stated that whenever there are warm conditions on the planet the ice protect itself using the sand covering its outside layer. Thus, these layers become a thorough source of the climate change occur in the atmosphere of Mars and how the ice caps are part of it. Various Scientist suggests that evaluating the cooling and warming conditions of the planet can be made a part of climate change examination, though the research on this subject is still going on.
