Another disgusting murder on June 10, within the day of first killing, intensified the political violence and vitriolic blame game between BJP and Trinamool Congress in the state. On Monday, the body of BJP worker Samatul Dolui was found hanging on a tree near a field on Howrah’s Amta by the residents of the Sarpota village. Dolui’s family and BJP netas in Howrah were quick to blame Trinamool Congress.
Samtul Dolui was an active member of BJP and gave the party a lead from his booth in Lok Sabha election. He has received the death threats after he took out the “Jai Shree Ram” rallies in the locality. It was said by the president of BJP Howrah, Anupam Mullick that Trinamool Congress backed the anti-social ransacked his house immediately after the elections.
When some rogues tried to snatch the body of Dolui while it was taken for the post-mortem, villagers protested, prompting the district administration to deploy RAF. A day earlier, on June 10, an RSS veteran Swedesh Manna, too was found hanging from a tree in Atchata Village. Manna has also been taking out the rallies of ‘Jai Shree Ram” for the past few days. Mr. Mullick has alleged that in both cases Trinamool Congress supporters have killed our party workers.
