Congress’s Delhi Unit filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) demanding protection and compensation to the family of a toddler who was murdered in Aligarh. Legal and Human Rights department delegate of the party demanded NHRC to inform to all Chief Secretaries of all states to follow the guidelines given by the Supreme Court in Bachpan Bachao Andolan vs. Union of India, in the matter of missing child. It’s was written in the complaint that guidelines of the case were not followed in the case.

A two-year-old girl was found missing and a missing complaint was filed by the parents. After three days, on June 2, the dead body of the baby was found in the garbage. The father of the girl alleged that the girl was killed by the accused due to his failure of payment of a loan of Rs. 10,000. Four persons were arrested with regard to the case.

Sunil Kumar, Head of the Delhi legal cell of Congress said that the parents of the murdered child should be given adequate compensation and police protection. He also stated that if the guidelines of the Supreme Court to be followed in case of a missing child were followed then the child would have been saved.
