Spock, a high-speed electric two-wheeler has been launched by the Li-ions Elektrik Solutions Pvt. Ltd. In a press conference, the company has stated that the vehicle has been designed to facilitate the first and the last mile logistics. It includes features like onboard GPS with USB charging for mobile devices, 2.9 kWh lithium-ion swappable battery, BLDC (brushless DC) Hub motor with peak power of 2.1 kW and continuous power of 1.2 kW with 230 Nm of maximum torque to move the vehicle at 45 kmph top speed.
Based on its 72V 40 AH lithium battery, the two-wheeler has a range of running about 50-130 KM per charge. And in the economy mode, it can go up to 130 KM in a single charge, while in the power mode it can run up to 100 KM in the single charge. Capt. Gurvinder Singh, Director of Li-ions battery has said that the two-wheeler is designed at the local level and is completely indigenous. The two-wheeler comes with 12-inch tubeless tires. It can be charged fully under 3 hours, for a total of 1,200 charging cycles of the battery.
The on-road price of Spock is Rs. 65,000- Rs. 99,000. The vehicle is offering a factory-fitted rear cargo box with thermal insulation, hydraulic suspensions, motorcycle-like handlebars and integrated turn indicators in the tail lamp.
