In the midst of repeated cases of wrongdoing in the Registry of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi came down strongly the Registrar (Listing) for deleting a case against particular directions. A lawyer pointed out in the morning that her case, which was listed for hearing on Tuesday after being mentioned on Friday, was omitted from the cause list.
When the registrar tried to look into the matter, Chief Justice Gogoi reproached him, "We give you the time and after 2 hours come back with a cooked story ... that was, or this was happening."
A few further instances were issues in the cause list, and this matter should not be deleted. It was noted that the allegations of a list of such instances were not taken into consideration before multiple courts, said an anonymous person.
The Court ruled last week that senior police superintendents and police superintendents of the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI), and Delhi Police should be appointed.
