Justice Rakesh Kumar, a senior judge of The Patna High Court, on Wednesday ordered for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe against the bribery allegations which are prevailing in the subordinate judiciary and also made some devastating remarks against the conduct of misconduct on the part of his colleagues in thr Patna High Court.
Subsequently the Chief Justice of Patna High Court Justice Mukesh R Shah issued a notice which stated that “ All matters pending before Justice Rakesh Kumar, sitting singly including tired up/part heard or otherwise stand withdraw with immediate effect,” this notice by the Chief Justice withdrew all the cases from him at all the points. The starting point of this notice appears to be, an order passed by Justice Rakesh Kumar against the bail application by a retired Indian Administrative Service Officer Mr. K P Ramaiah, who was facing accusations of misappropriating 5 crores which was dismissed by the Patna High Court.
Justice Rakesh Kumar further stated that in normal course he wouldn’t have passed this orde, but since last few years, the Court was taking notice of the fact that in Patna Judgeship, things weren’t going in a right perspective. Therefore he had ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation to conduct an inquiry into entire sequence of the plot relating to corruption in the premises of the Patna Civil Court shown in news published through Republic T.V channel and lodge regular case.
