Yasmeen Kapoor, a close aide of corporate lobbyist Deepak Talwar, faced judicial custody after Delhi Court passed an order in her connection to the Aviation scandal.

The ED arrested her for her links to the negotiations which hurt the state-owned Air India but greatly favoured other private airlines.

ED had earlier accused her of misusing the bail granted to her by the Court post which the Court rejected her plea for an Anticipatory Bail.

ED has alleged that Deepak Talwar was involved in a number of cases involving corporate lobbying and extradition procedure was initiated against him by Dubai Authorities along with another businessman Rajeev Saxena.

It has been reported that Deepak Talwar has received kickbacks to the tune of 272 crores in 2008-09 from private international airlines in order to acquire traffic rights in their favour which he could get done with his contacts which did much harm to Air India’s business thus resulting in loss.

Deepak Talwar has been accused by the ED for being involved in a number of other cases with respect to corporate lobbying. He was thus booked by ED and CBI in these instances of corruption.

Yasmin Kapoor is currently in the custody in a case of the alleged violation of foreign exchange rules by Deepak Talwar's NGO, Advantage India.
