In Delhi kidnapping and rape case of five-year-old, Manoj shah the convict of 2013 case attacked a Journalist outside the courtroom. Reports tell that the convict was in a blue jacket and attacked an India Today Journalist after the court hearing.

On Saturday the two accused, Manoj Shah and Pradeep Kumar were convicted by the Karkardooma Court in Delhi.

In an additional Sessions Judge Naresh Kumar Malhotra convicted Manoj Shah and Pradeep Kumar in the case and said that the child, who was just five years old, experienced a brutal and unhuman act.

"Collective conscience of the society shaken. In our society, minor girls are worshipped as goddess," said the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court. "The child, who was just 5 years old, experienced exceptional depravity and extreme brutality."

The 5-year-old girl child was kidnapped and then brutally raped by Manoj Shah and Pradeep Kumar at the Gandhi Nagar area in April 2013. The convicts also forced objects in her private parts.

Some of the reports say that after committing the crime, the convicts left the victim at Manoj's room believing her to be dead. The child was rescued 40 hours later on April 17, 2013.

Later, Manoj and Pradeep were arrested by Delhi Police separately from Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga in Bihar respectively in 2013.

The scenario took a different way in 2014 when Pradeep, one of the accused had to move the court claiming, he was a juvenile at the time of his arrest. The high court had in 2018 declared that Pradeep was not a juvenile and was sent him to trial before the sessions court.

The two men were convicted on Saturday.
