Uttar Pradesh: It is nothing new to the ears that the coronavirus has claimed thousands of lives till yet, but India seems to be prepared amid all the threat and the spreading of the disease in the country itself. In India as on March 13, 75 people have been tested positive for COVID-19. One death is reported and 3 people have been cured so far in India.

While addressing a press conference, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the situation is under control in Uttar Pradesh and there is no need to panic. 11 people have been tested positive for coronavirus in UP. Schools and Colleges in Uttar Pradesh have been shut down till March 22 and the situation will be assessed then and there for taking any further decision as to whether extend it or not. Special powers under the Epidemic Act have been given to the authorities to handle the situation. The Chief Minister also said that a team of doctors is closely monitoring the movement of people along the Indo-Nepal border and thorough screening is being conducted. the government is trying to equip five hospitals in the state with facility to test samples for COVID-19.
