CORONAVIRUS HEIGHTS TO 392,000 CASES GLOBALLY
The overall scenario till date reveals the rapid wide spread of the novel Coronavirus which initialized from China and has trapped the whole world into it. Two-third of India’s population is allegedly abandoned from any sort of movement, the United Kingdom has completely restricted movements in the country unless the work is for “very limited” reason, and the neighboring countries of Europe, like Italy remains under complete lockdown.
The Surgeon General of the United States said, “This week, it’s going to be bad,” there have been over 42,600 cases in US and 540 people on an estimate have transpired to be dead. President Trump has also announced a National Health Emergency and has declared the travel ban in the country.
The head of Italy’s civil protection agency said that the country may have 10 times more cases of coronavirus than the officially certified ones. The virus has taken the life of many people, but to a greater extend the death frequency of Italy apart from China has tremendously gone up.
The Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez had stated, “Our Country seems to be in a war as the cases of the coronavirus is escalating rapidly.” Spain is in the state of emergency since 14 March and the country seems to be the fourth in line after China, Italy, and the USA to have the major victims of this virus.
On the 11 March, the World Health Organization (WHO) had declared the coronavirus outbreak as a global pandemic. The Organization also said that it took them almost 3 months to figure out the first 100,000 confirmed cases worldwide, but after that it hardly took 12 days to figure out another 100,000 confirmed cases.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak some of the countries from the Middle East and Central Asia have requested the International Monetary Fund for Financial support, and in response to that, the managing director of IMF Kristalina Georgieva said, "The IMF could quickly disburse $50 billion through its emergency financing facilities to low income and emerging market countries dealing with COVID-19".
Some of the reports reveal that the Japan’s PM Shinzo Abe has reached in an agreement with the IOC President Thomas Bach to postpone the Olympics for almost a year and before the Summer 2021.
