DAY 04:  THE LOCKDOWN IS COMPLETELY LOCKING THINGS DOWN

Our Country, just like the other countries is on an alarming phase of severe health and economic breakdown due to the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus.  

The midnight of March25 is the date on the calendar, when the PM declared the Nationwide Lockdown which brought in a deep impact on the people. Although, some of the states had already begun the lockdown but the announcement at 08:00PM made it a “Complete Lockdown” for all the states as well as the Union Territories. The PM said, “Social Distancing is the only way to break the cycle of this infection.”

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as the country reached its 4th day in the battle field with the disease, the number of trapped victims with the coronavirus is rising up day by day and it has reached 918 Cases in India till date out of which 819 are the active cases, 80 patients have been discharged due to recovery, and 19 have died.

Allegedly On Saturday, Maharashtra has come up with eight new cases taking the count of the state to 167 and Gujrat has come up with six more cases taking the count to 53.

It has also been reported that the Capital city’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave a voice to “prepare for a potential stage 3 outbreak of COVID-19 in Delhi”.

The lockdown has completely impeded the country’s supply chain by cavernously impacting the general public, although the state government is working with the Centre to restore the same flow of distribution of the essential goods.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the formation of an emergency fund where we the people of the country can join in for the concerned cause of fighting against the Novel Coronavirus all together.

The PM on his twitter handle had said, “People from all walks of life expressed their desire to denote to India’s war against COVID-19. Respecting that spirit, the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation’s Fund has been constituted. This will go a long way in creating a healthier India.”

Some official websites reveal that the Prime Minister himself is the Chairman of the new public charitable trust (PM-CARES), and his core team includes the finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman, the home minister Amit Shah, and the defence minister Rajnath Singh all in all.
