RELIANCE CONTRIBUTES TO FIGHT AGAINST THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS
India is under complete lockdown just like the other countries hence, some of the telecom operators and broadcast service providers are making the work from easier by providing double data as well as free internet services across India. A huge number of employees working in the telecom industry and some others are being compensated by working from home.
Reliance, the Indian multinational conglomerate has announced INR 5 Cr to the relief fund of Maharashtra and Gujarat Government. On Monday, the company also announced a donation of INR 500 Cr towards the PM-CARES fund to keep up the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
“We are confident that India will conquer the coronavirus crisis sooner rather than later. The entire Reliance Industries Limited team is with the nation in this hour of crisis and will do everything to win this battle against Covid-19,” says Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, RIL.
Reliance Jio, the Indian telecommunications company has also opened a new section of recharge called “work from home” which opens up a wide angle to top-up data with the most efficient plans.
Mukesh Ambani’s led company has opened up a hospital which has 100 beds, and is based in Mumbai to meet the emerging demand of the isolation wards. Reliance Foundation will provide free meals to people across various cities in partnership with NGOs during the crisis situation.
Some of the reports reveal that the company is working with its team at the Reliance Life Science in order to find a cure to fight against the novel coronavirus. It is producing 100K masks per day and is also supplying a massive number of self-protection equipment for the health workers. The company has announced free fuel for the vehicles providing emergency services to the victims of the deadly virus.
“RIL also continues its 24×7, multi-pronged, on-the-ground effort to do its bit to ensure the nation remains prepared, fed, supplied, safe, connected and motivated to fight and win against the unprecedented challenges brought upon by the Coronavirus pandemic,” the company said in a statement.
