  • Delhi riots 2020
  • Shaheen bagh protestors
  • CAA, NRC protests

The riots held in Delhi in February 2020  lead to the death of 46 people. More than 250 people were injured and economic loss had occurred up to 25000. There are many assumptions regarding these riots. Like other riots, it is difficult to decide who actually started the fire between Hindu and Muslim. Even it is difficult to find out the real culprit after the investigation. But there are some things which are very clear and we can figure out. Let see what are those?

The first thing is that the environment of riots was not created in a few weeks but instead of that it was created from a few months. The BJP  campaign was totally based upon Hindu Muslim, shaheen bagh and Hindu Muslim. So they were indirectly creating separation between the Hindu and Muslim communities. BJP used slogans like desh ke gadaaro ko goli maro s**lo ko. So they actually motivated people to become violent against one another.

Another factor responsible for these riots is godi media which always showed the debates or discussion related to Hindu Muslims. So indirectly they were delivering a message that both communities are different from each other and are enemies of each other. Even before the day of elections, the workers of this party were threatening people by saying that give your vote to BJP otherwise Hindu community will come in danger. But there are also some good members in BJP like Gautam Gambhir and Manoj Tiwari who criticized the comments of Kapil Mishra.

The actual work of the police is to maintain law but at that time police workers were seen doing some foolish act like destroying the CCTV camera in case it will record their activities and many more.

When the reports of India went today went to ground level to find out reality then people said that police had done nothing to stop the riots. So we can say police were indirectly supporting the attackers. The same thing happened in JNU. The Delhi police had not answered any call between 48 to 72 hours of riots. So it shows a huge failure of Central Delhi Police.

On  27 February Indian judiciary rebuked the Delhi police for not filing FIR against Kapil Mishra and Anurag ThakurThakur who delivered inflammatory speeches. But in someday the judge who had done this was transferred. So the BJP was indirectly saving his politicians from the law.

So what is the solution?

The solution lies in us. We all belong to one nation that is India without any discrimination of caste, creed, sex or religion. So we need to understand this thing thoroughly. Then only these politicians will stop using their policy of divide and rule on behalf of religion. So what are your thoughts regarding Delhi riots?

Happy to hear your feedback.
