On 30th January,2020 during campaigning, BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma called Delhi’s CM Kejriwal as a “Terrorist”.

In a press conference on Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal responded to the statement of Parvesh Singh and said, “I’m hurt by the accusations, I have never thought of myself or my family…. I have put my life in danger for the country…. How can I be a Terrorist?”

In his speech, he mentioned the real work done by the party (Aam Adami Party) in past five years and at the same time questioned “do terrorists work like this? Throughout my life I’ve struggled for the people, every day I try to work for the people and this nation. I have provided good education for our children. Does that make me a Terrorist?”

Some of the Reporters mention that Kejriwal said, Now the people of Delhi will have to decide if the person building up schools and hospital is a “Terrorist” or their “own son”.

As per the orders of the Election Commissioner (EC), the BJP MP Parvesh Singh has been dropped out from the list of BJP’s star campaigners because in a public meeting at Madipur, Singh used an offensive statement for CM Kejriwal in the news agency Asian News International (ANI).

“Kejriwal jaise atankwadi iss desh mai chhupe baithe hain. Hum toh sachne pe majboor hote hai ki Kashmir main Pakistan ke atankwadiyon se ladein ya Kejriwal jaise atankwadiyon se iss desh mai ladein…(Terrorist like Kejriwal are hiding inside the country. We are forced to wonder whether we should fight the Pakistani terrorist in Kashmir or Terrorist like Kejriwal in the Country)”, says Parvesh Singh.

The Aam Adami Party has written against Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma to Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer and demanded registration of an FIR against him. In the complaint, the Party (AAP) said that by calling the CM a terrorist and by equating him to “anti-national forces” Verma has not only pointed fingers at the leader’s credibility but also has tarnished the reputation of the Chief Minister.

While addressing a press conference a Senior AAP’s leader Sanjay Singh said: “It’s unfortunate that after our complaint, BJP leaders and MP Parvesh Singh called CM a terrorist…. We believe a big conspiracy is underway whereby all BJP leaders are abusing and using objectionable words against CM.”
