Lucknow-  The police, on Friday, arrested Aman Bahadur, the son of former Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) MLA Shamsher Bahadur Singh, with connection to the murder of Prashant Singh. Bahadur could be a former student of law of a personal university on Faizabad Road, where Singh also studied engineering for 3 years before giving up last year A senior policeman who is related to the probe but didn't wish to be identified, said that the motive for the murder was a dispute between two rival groups-present and former students of the private university. He said that a scuffle broke out between the two groups during the party at a restaurant in Safedabad some days ago, and resulted in Singh's murder on Thursday. Singh was stabbed to death in broad daylight at the enterance of Alaknanda Apartments, a gated housing society, in th posh Gomti Nagar extention on Thursday afternoon. The victim came in a very (SUV) to fulfill one among his acquaintances at Alaknanda Apartments, where his killers were already watching for him. The police has identified six other accused and ore on lookout for them. The Lucknow Commisioner of Police quoted that the accused are booked under the National Secutiry Act (NSA) and a Gangster Act in a very bid to send a robust message to the notorious elements, besides the opposite charges of murder and criminal conspiracy thanks to the audacious nature of the crime.
