The Angry Mob stone pelted Near CAA Protest Site, Delhi Metro closed two Stations


 On Sunday, Outside the Jaffrabad metro station in North East Delhi around 500 people gathered and stone pelted.  The incident occurred heated up, It was basically close to the site of anti-CAA Protest on the road.

In a statement on Sunday the Delhi Metro Railway corporation said, “We have closed down the entry and exit gates Jaffrabad and Maujpur-Babarpur Station and trains will not be halting there.”

Delhi’s BJP Leader Kapil Mishra leas a Pro-CAA rally which took place on the same date. On his Twitter Mishra said, “We have given a three-day ultimatum to the Delhi Police to get the roads cleared. Get the Jaffarabad and chandbagh road cleared.”

According to the press trust of India agency, the protesters carried the national tricolour and elevated slogans of ‘aazadi’, not only this the protesters also tied a blue band around their arm and elevated ‘Jai Bhim’ Slogans. Security has been put up near Babarpur after the chaos that happened on the Sunday morning.

The traffic got the general public angry as the were blocked due to the protestors. One of the eyewitness mentioned to the PDA that the protesters wouldn't leave till the time CAA is not cancelled. The actual reason for the chaos is that the protesters have a feeling of resentment against the way of government handling the issues. The protest is still going on at Seelampur and the places near by against the amended citizenship act.

On the 70th day of the protest, after the Supreme Court’s verdict a one-way route Shaheen Bagh, Road no. 9, a road connecting Kalindi Kunj and Noida was opened.  It's been 2 months of the protest at the Shaheen Bagh, the protestors have clearly blocked the road connecting Southeast Delhi and Noida.

On Monday, the supreme court appointed two interlocutors Sadhana Ramachandran and Sanjay Hedge with mandate to persuade the Protestors to end the anti-CAA protest and to end their blockade of a public road. The court will hear the matter next on February 24.
