  • Got infected from his partner
  • Says this is a contribution to the society
  • Regretting his decision

Germany- A Berlin district mayor named Stephan von Dassel said that he got infected form the novel coronavirus on purpose on the pretixt that he would develop the immunity to fight from the virus on possible exposure, his attempt of self- immunization goes against the official health advice and he got infected from the virus deliberately from his partner in order to develop immunity.

Upon being asked he said that he was ill longer than he thought, got infected almost on purpose to develop immunity and thought that he will only be ill for a few days and then he'll be immune- thinking that he won't be able to catch it nor pass it to anyone, but it turned out to be a lot worse than he imagined it to be. The 53 year old went on to justify as to why he let himself catch the virus, which can be deadle even to younger people and even to those who don't have any underlying health conditions, saying it meant that after being able to develop immunity he would continue working for the society while the local government workers may be off sick, he quoted that he sees his illness as a contribution towards the long-term goal of flattening the curve of the infection.

The deadly virus has claimed thousands of lives and the battle in India is still on with hundreds of cases rising every day the government, administration and the doctors and nation wide medical staff are on their toes day and night to help save people, in this case people who have not yet been exposed to the virus, prevention is better then cure.
