On 20th March of every year, the International Day of Happiness os celebrated in the whole world. It was originally founded by Jayme Illien in 2006 who was CEO of United Nations New World Order. The main objective of this day is to spread national well being, freedom and happiness throughout the world. The campaign theme of 2020 of International Day of Happiness is Happiness for all, Together to celebrate. The secretariat of UN calling 206 nations and union territories to take ten steps that is Ten steps to global happiness'. By these tiny steps starting from the day of happiness followed by the whole week, every Nation can enjoy it's freedom, prosperity, and happiness.

The first step is to 'Tell everyone and spread the words so that it increases the global awareness and national welfare of the world. In 2006 the idea and origin for creating the International day of happiness initially came from the founder Jayme Illien's strong belief that happiness, prosperity, and independence that is freedom is the ultimate source of living on this earth. As Illien has his vision for global well being, so he started to save money for the orphan children to save them in the difficult time of war, famine and in other pandemics.

In 2006 Illien presented a new theory known as happytalism.  This was the first best policy that was able to beat the old world economic which consist of capitalism, communism, racism, sexism, etc. It was successfully prominent theory to dominate economists, academics, philosophers,  scholars, and many other important people of the world. But it was rejected because of some reason.

Happiness is a state of emotional and mental well being in which a person has a pleasant or positive feeling. It is the ultimate source to have a healthy soul and a healthy body. So one should always be happy in spite of the circumstances.

By 2012, Illien successfully campaigned to unite a global coalition of all 193 United Nations member states and secured the endorsement of the President of the UN General Assembly, and then Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, for the idea and concept of establishing a new official international UN calendar day of observance known as the International Day of Happiness, through the adoption of a new UN resolution. Illien authored UN resolution 66/281, which was ultimately adopted by the unanimous consensus of all 193 UN member states of the United Nations General Assembly on 28 June 2012.
