Ratan Tata automobile industry based by brand name Tata Motors starts with its operations in all their manufacturing plants across India with opening Jamshedpur facility also getting approval on May 27th, Tata Motors said in a regulatory filing.
The company first started with it’s opening from Pantnagar and Sanan plants on 13th March 2020. Approximately 59 percent of the company's passenger vehicle showroom covering 69 percent of the retail market, has commenced with their operations

Tata Motors said. "From the supply side, 90 percent of suppliers in the commercial vehicle segment has received permissions to commence and of the lot, only 60 percent have been able to start supplies. Tata Motors had cash and cash equivalent of Rs 4,700 crore, and undrawn credit facility of Rs 1,500 crore, two months back (as of 31st March 2020) the auto major said.

To further shore up the liquidity, the company has issued commercial papers of Rs 3,500 crore and also raised Rs 1,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs), it added.
Guenter Butschek, CEO & MD, Tata Motors said, “Our utmost priority is the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and ecosystem partners. Therefore, we restart operations with limited, essential staff in each plant, adhering to all mandated safety norms while efficiently meeting operational requirements. The support and cooperation extended by local authorities, state and central Government, our Union partners and our dedicated workforce have been instrumental for a smooth restart. We will scale operations in a graded manner as the entire enabling ecosystem of suppliers, vendors, dealers, and customers come up to speed. We are cautiously optimistic and staying agile to cater to evolving demand. The lockdown was our opportunity to accelerate our digital journey and evolve new ways of working while servicing and supporting our customers. We are well-positioned to redefine mobility with our new product portfolio, customized offerings, and enhanced customer experience.”
Hence, it is certain that they are using essential staff and a limited number of them for this, that too with utmost safety and secure environment across all of their plants.
