An Interview is a formal communication between an applicant and representative of any institution or organization which is conducted to assess whether the applicant should be hired. Interviews are one of the most popularly used devices for employee selection. Interviews vary in the extent to which the questions are structured, from an unstructured and free-wheeling conversation to a structured interview in which an applicant is asked predetermined lit of questions in a specified order. Many people at some point in their career have to attend an interview. They are a key part of a different application process which includes university, apprenticeships, GDL, and more. In many countries, laws are put in place to prevent organizations from engaging in discriminatory practices against protected classes when selecting individuals for jobs. In the United States, it is unlawful for private employers with 15 or more employees along with state and local government employers to discriminate among applicants based on sex, race, national origin, or genetic information.
A blog is an online journal or informational website displaying information in the reverse chronological order with the latest posts appearing first. It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an individual subject. The rise of Twitter and other microblogging systems helps integrate blogs into the news media. A typical blog combines text, digital images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art, photographs, music, videos, and audio. Writing a blog has now become a passion for many people, particularly, students.
Interviewing for any job is quite stressful, but particularly so for new law graduates. Many have massive law school debt and the market is still pretty bleak. Being an interviewer can be equally stressful. Especially if this is the lawyer's first time hiring an associate or law student. They will be spending a lot of resources, energy, time, and money on this individual, and all these do not give the assurance of a perfect individual. Most of the law students have now started writing blogs on the topics which they feel is needed to be read by people. Writing a blog has also become a way of enhancing a CV.
