Can the aggression of the Chinese force affect the bilateral ties between the countries?

PM Narendra Modi and President of People’s Republic of China Mr. Xi Jinping had announced to host 70celebratory activities in the year 2020, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China, last year on October 11- 12,2019 during Informal Summit in Chennai. This cultural event has been put on hold due to the outbreak of Covid-19, but after the recent attack by Chinese Forces on Ladakh, it might have to go through diplomatic scrutiny even after this ongoing pandemic. “We have the only building in the area with an auditorium, and for any Buddhist academic activity, our students and teachers will work. Now, the programs are not certain” said Mr. SK Gautam, the head of the Department of Social Science at the Central Institute for Buddhist Studies[i]. Officials of Cultural Ministry said that they had initiated the talk with Indian Council to organize a Cultural Event for a better cultural relationship between India and China but it was put on hold due to the pandemic. This event includes business seminars for the promotion of products in each other’s country, holding exhibitions and business seminars in both the countries, the Chinese side would hold events commemorating the 110th birth anniversary of Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis in India and China, Indian side would launch a Mobile App in Chinese on Indian Tourism in China, and several other activities. The Chinese officials had said that they are going to postpone the events because of the pandemic and the events were stood postponed due to Covid-19. But now the events seem to be uncertain because of the aggression shown by China. India has accused Chinese troops of preparing an attack on its soldiers on the Himalayan Borders. It was the worst violence between India and China for 45 years. PM Narendra Modi has made a statement on the India-China faceoff at Galway Valley in Ladakh, saying that the sacrifice made by the army men will not go in vain. He also warned China that this betrayal will have an impact on the bilateral ties between the two countries. This dispute can lead to the cancellation of all the events between the countries.
