Rajya Sabha taking up two bills related to banking and Lok Sabha is looking forward to discussing and pass amendments to Companies Bill and Taxation Bill. The MPs of the three opposition parties -TMC, NCP, and DMK approached the government and requested a shorter monsoon session due to rising COVID-19 cases. Here are the latest updates:

BJP MP Arun Singh says that the amendment of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 is a successful step. The business ranking has improved under the NDA government. He praises PM Modi and Arun Jaitley for that. The bill is moved to further amend the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016, has taken into consideration by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam. According to DMK MP P. Wilson, the representation of all communities or categories in the appointment of judges to the Supreme court has declined drastically. This matter should be taken into consideration. Another request is from Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi as she says that age relaxation should be given to economically weaker sections of unreserved categories. There was no age relaxation provision in the bill passed last year. She requests the government to extend age relaxation to children in the EWS category. The BJP MP says that India has over 24 lakh TB patients and the tuberculosis awareness programs have taken a hit. All the health mechanisms are tirelessly working to fight COVID and not paying attention to TB patients.

BJP Neeraj Shekhar raises the issue that Bhojpuri should be included in the Eighth Schedule of the constitution. Congress MP Ahmed Patel brings forward the issue of students facing problems due to online classes in the COVID season. Schools have been closed down for 6 months due to the pandemic and those who are without laptops and smartphones are unable to attend online classes. There were also papers laid on the issues concerning the safeguards and protection to be taken during the COVID-19 quarantine. The testing facility is available in the parliament says the Chairman. There was a meeting held in the parliament and wearing face masks, washing and cleaning hands, and eating healthy foods are the best remedy.
