  • With the rise in coronavirus cases, international travel trends are not too encouraging
  • Few countries allowing travel with minimum hassle
  • Entry requirements in these few countries

The trends in international travel aren’t too encouraging at the moment. With the rise in the Covid-19 cases, many places are imposing lengthy quarantine requirements while others are re-imposing restrictions. There is a great deal of uncertainty around and international travel still seems a long way for many of us.

However, with no restrictions whatsoever, there are a few countries that are currently open to business travel as well as tourism. These countries require a negative test either before travel or upon arrival and thereafter, quarantine is not necessary. These are the countries that are allowing travel with minimum hassle. A note about the current infection trends could prove to be helpful before getting all geared up for the travel.

Following is the list of all such countries:

Mexico

The land border between the US and Mexico is closed but it is possible to fly to various Mexican cities. No entry requirements, no testing requirements, and no quarantine requirements are currently in place.

Turkey

No Covid-19 test and quarantine are necessary for tourists, and only normal entry requirements apply. Incoming tourists who seem ill will be checked for symptoms and may be given a test on their arrival.

French Polynesia

Proof of negative PCR test taken at most three days before the arrival is an entry requirement. No quarantine requirements.

Maldives

Certain islands and resorts are open and these require a negative PCR test on arrival.

Dubai

The entry requirements include a negative test or an additional test on arrival with self-quarantine instructions at the hotel itself or any other residence for about twenty-four hours until the test results come. A special Covid-19 App is also to be downloaded by the arriving passengers.

Kenya

Travel around the country is not restricted as such. A negative test conducted within 96 hours of arrival is required.

Albania, Serbia, and North Macedonia

The external borders of the Europian Union are closed to many people residing outside, however, the Balkan trio of countries (Albania, Serbia, and North Macedonia) is open to tourists and business travelers with minimum entry requirements. A negative PCR test will however be required. With no complex testing and quarantine requirements, everyone is free to enter.
