The world is facing the biggest pandemic of all times, many new contributions have been made to the field of health care. The current method of testing for the novel Coronavirus is by PCR test which is the polymeric chain reaction and antibody test. PCR test directly detects the presence of an antigen in the swab sample. These tests consume time and the person who needs to get tested has to walk out and go to a hospital to get tested. What if there was an easier way where you can test for COVID-19 symptoms within no time and without stepping out. Sounds almost impossible but not anymore, thanks to Hcare COVID detection app. The app detects symptoms in less than 30 seconds using artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques.

The algorithm detects cough differentiation using artificial intelligence, all you need is a smartphone and the app. The app recognizes variation in cough by detecting sound. Hcare app categorizes COVID symptoms. There are 7 steps to detect the symptoms. To start the user has to input basic details like age, gender, etc. The next step is to input the previous medical records and conditions. Then the user has to record his/her breath in and out for a particular period of time. Then the user has to record vowels and count from one to ten. Then have to select if he/she was wearing a mask. When everything is done they have to submit it. Wait for 30 seconds and the app will show the symptoms in percentage.

The team is now trying to get information to set up the app to recognize the coughs of individuals with different kinds of respiratory illnesses and who show possible COVID-19 symptoms, they are different for different people. As of now, the app has achieved an accuracy of 90 percentage successfully. There are few other apps to keep track of COVID-19, they are Trace together, COVID watch, HaMagen, The Corona Dataspende, Aarogya Setu, COVID symptom tracker, NHS smartphy app, Let’s beat COVID-19, Kwarantana Dommowa, PeduliLindung.

The main team of Hcare consists of Anant, Rahul Piyush Jain, Aaditya, Devansh Sunil Tiwari, and few others who have been working on this app development since recent months. This is a breakthrough in the health tech field and is India’s first smartphone phone-based-non-invasive glucometer. They have successfully made the prototype. This is a proud moment.
