Details: Coco is directed by Lee Unkrich and is an animated film, the production of the film was by Pixar Animation and it was released under the Walt Disney banner. The film's main lead's voice was by Anthony Gonzalez. The film covers the musical journey of a 12-year-old boy healing from the Rivera family. The movie is for all age groups and lets you travel through the land of the dead. Story: A 12-year-old boy Miguel loves to sing but his family disapproves of the same when Miguel plays guitar and his grandmother breaks it- following the incident Miguel leaves home and robs the guitar of Ernesto (one of the famous singers, whom Miguel believes to be his grandfather). When he commits such an Act on the day of Family ofrenda he is teleported to the land of the dead, where unless he seeks the blessings of anyone of his family members he cannot return to his place. But there is a hitch as his family will give him their blessings only when he promises to never sing again, Miguel thereby starts to search for Ernesto to get his blessings. Fate lands him close to Hector who gives his best to help Miguel reach his destination, when Miguel meets Ernesto he releases that he has been tricked and that his great grandfather instead is Hector Rivera. The rest of the story revolves around how they escape and how Hector retrieves his position in his family. The land of dead holds a rule that one shall fade away once each and every person from the living world forget them permanently, the only person who remembers Hector is his daughter Coco- who eternally trust that her father shall return. Coco due to her memory loss is about to forget Hector but her memory is revived back by Miguel who returns from the blessings of both his grandparents. During the end credits, the Rivera family wholeheartedly celebrates the Ofrenda singing and dancing. Review: The movie emphasizes the importance of remembering all those who had once been a part of our journey but have left us to the land of the dead, the concept shows the value of people in our lives and how one can completely trust their family. The concept is very beautifully woven into the tales of music, Miguel is a determinant but an innocent boy who embarks on the journey of learning the reality of life. Some moments of the film also showcase "what you so shall you reap", for instance how Ernesto dies in one of his music concerts in contrast to how he had injured Hector's feelings in the past. Do watch the Disney Pixar movie to be a part of the ride!
