A widely held view around a particular topic refers to a stereotype, a gender stereotype is a notion or preconception regarding certain characteristics that have to be possessed by individuals be it men or women, such kind of ideologies tend to limit the wings of development. Stereotypes are men are strong, women are vulnerable, or that they have to be very elegant tends to hinder the scope of making the right choices, or may sometimes it also tends people to forgo their basic human rights. Due to these stereotypes marital rapes are often not concluded as offenses as one considers them to be legitimate, such kind of discrimination also starts at home where it is very particular decided what are the tasks that women should undertake and what should be those that a man should accomplish. How they have conflicted over the years with certain rights? A very common factor that tends to develop a form of mindset is the surroundings, for instance, if one is made to believe that a person from lower economic status should not interact with those of higher economic status or simply that minority has no power over the others, one stands completely convinced by it and as they grow up it becomes a social norm or a regulation, though intending to set it aside it is hard for them to realize that it is not something that most of the others follow. The major cause of discrimination or what we refer to as not getting equal opportunities is not just because of stereotyping but when such notions so formed are wrongful in nature i.e. wrongful stereotyping- like why women are not paid equally as men even as a wage worker, these perceptions tend to impact various rights such as freedom, marriage, work, education, participation, expression, representation, and others. Generally, a child's mindset is developed around the framework of right and wrong created by what others believe to be true, and ultimately this works as a contributing factor for what they tend to conceive or instill into themselves as correct ideologies. The best remedy is to think before adopting these general ideas if there exists rationale behind such thoughts one should adopt it otherwise not. A very important step that can help in fighting against it is creating awareness of rights among people; the rights should penetrate to the most remote localities and people this instead will help one to stand for themselves. Secondly, one can also upgrade the thinking formats by educating from the lowest level and also incorporating it as a right.
