The Gujarat organization Milk merchandise which trade the Amul brand of dairy commodities on Monday stated that resolution of the Mehsana District agency of Milk Producers association to separate ways with it is “unreasonable” and this is just a commination. Dudhsagar dairy also known as Mehsana district agency of Milk producers association organized an yearly mainstream meeting on Sunday passed a motion to split ways with the association by enrolling it under Multi state cooperative societies act. The Dudhsagar Dairy, the supreme organ to trade milk and milk commodities produced by these districts trade unions is one of the 18-member association of organization.

Federation managing chairperson RS Sodhi commenting on the issue said that the decision taken by the Mehsana milk trade union is absurd and incorrect. He further stated that if Mehsana association separate ways with the apex body then they will not be able to trade their commodities under Amul brand as they will have to look for a new brand and face all the prevailing brands and so the Amul as well as told to the press reporters. Presently, the association sells in Delhi-NCR around 30 lakh litres everyday exclusively stands as the top brand among the 50 other brands. This comprises of 9 lakh litres of the Mehsana association that operates two plants in the outskirts of Haryana state.

Now if they decide to operate solo, they would be able to trade not more 20,000 litres per day which is ordinarily very low of what the principal association is supplying currently. Previously, the vice president of Dudhsagar dairy Moghji Patel alleged that the association is unfair to the dairy by not lifting their milk.
