In a disturbing incident that has occurred before a Ranchi Court, a Carmel school teacher was forced to convert into Christianity. Ms Nalini Nayak, the teacher, was also threatened to be sacked off duty, if she does not pay heed to the words to the accused principal of the school and three other teachers.

Following the termination, Ms Nalini filed a case to the Judicial Magistrate of Ranchi, who in turn ordered that an FIR be filed against the accused and investigation to be conducted there upon. Ms Nalini had accused that the Principal and three other sisters had forced her to convert to Christianity or she would be terminated and that they had also threatened to kill her, if she refused.

Ms Nalini had had joined work from April 2013 and was given a confirmation of service in 2016 and laid a condition that she has to become a Christian. She also claims that the Principal and the sisters had forced her attend church functions late in the night and thus caused a lot of mental turmoil.
