A walkathon was organised by Fortis Hospital, Punjabi Bagh on Sunday 18th February 2018 to create bone health awareness. The event saw participation of over 600 participants from all sectors. It was a morning event, with a total distance of 1.5 km walk round trip, started from Metro Walk, Rohini, and saw participation to spread awareness on “Healthy Knees for All”.

Delhi has seen a rise in such awareness campaigns and events recently being organised by NGOs or CSR. Health awareness has gained popularity among the masses and people.

The walk was followed by an interactive session with patients who had gone through fast-track knee replacement surgery, giving encouragement to those participants who are currently facing advanced knee joint problems.

The event had a footfall from every sphere of life, from retired people, to college youth. The walk was led by Dr. Amite Pankaj Aggarwal from Fortis Hospital.
