BCCI IS LOOKING FOR ALL POSSIBLITIES OF HOSTING IPL LATER THIS YEAR

Various speculations on IPL 2020 are still on their way. BCCI could host IPL 2020 in the September-November window. Earlier, due to coronavirus pandemic, IPL 2020 was postponed indefinitely by BCCI. There is also a constant threat of monsoon in September and most of the Eastern states in India are widely damaged by the cyclone as well in that window. In a recent press release by BCCI, Sourav Ganguly, the board president indicated to shift IPL outside India.

IPL is the most popular league tournament in the entire world and fans are also eagerly waiting for it. Even all team managements are in favor of conducting IPL this year as soon as possible. Recently, KKR stakeholders said they don't want the originality of IPL to be destroyed, they showed their intentions to stand with the decisiveness of BCCI. Sourav Ganguly also wrote the state cricket administers to be prepared for a complete closed door season later this year irrespective of the future considerations. At the same time, most of the state cricket associations denied the fact of organizing IPL anytime this year.

The spine of roots of cricket returning on the field with West Indies and England test series scheduled next month urged other cricket organizations to think of getting back on track and the future of cricket after the pandemic. As of now, cricket in India seems impractical for more than 4 months. India is fourth in world-o-meter when it comes to coronavirus cases. So, at the same time flying in India would be a great risk for foreign players. No cricketing nation would jeopardize their players to travel India due to the continuous rise of coronavirus in the country. Since the post-lockdown when the first unlock in India started coronavirus appears more critical than ever before. The national capital Delhi and the commercial capital Mumbai are been the major hotspot in the entire nation with the most number of cases. Apart from all these future risks and outcomes, BCCI looked more grit in organizing IPL this year without considering anything.

With less hope of IPL to be played in India, BCCI is also looking forward to making the tournament possible in foreign nations as well. Sri Lanka and UAE already offered BCCI to host the league in respective nations but these two countries are also not freed from coronavirus yet which may venture the health safety of players. Well, New Zealand is the only cricketing nation where the hosting IPL seems much safer than others. New Zealand government did a brilliant job in controlling the spread of noble coronavirus in their country and now they are been praised worldwide with no active cases for more than two months. BCCI could pitch CNZ, the idea of arranging the tournament in New Zealand but this will be the subject to government's approval of both the countries.
